East Penn takes great pride in their self-reliance. As a vertically integrated company, they produce their own premium-grade oxide and exclusive demineralized electrolyte. Their smelter refines lead for new batteries and their plastics injection molding department manufactures many of the necessary plastic parts. This vertical integration helps control costs and limits the possibility of "stock outs", so East Penn is always prepared to fill customer orders promptly.
